Sorkwity

Masurian village

Sorkwity is an interesting Masurian village, picturesquely situated between Lake Gielądzkie and Lampackie, belonging to Mrągowski Lake District. Here, one of Europe’s most beautiful kayaking trails – the Krutynia River Trail – begins.

The village was founded in 1379 by the Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights Winrich von Kniprode. Sorkwity’s main attractions are the Neo-Gothic palace and the Baroque evangelical church.

Sorkwity is a dream destination for summer vacations away from the hustle and bustle of cities, in pure nature, especially attractive for watermen, because the rivers and lakes are not lacking. All the Masurian attractions are at your reach.
